First-person shooter game Left 4 Dead has been confirmed for release in November.
Doug Lombardi, the marketing vice-president of the game’s makers Valve, told Computer and Video Games that the horror game is set to be released in North America on November 18th with the European release following three days later.
Left 4 Dead is set to be originally launched on the Xbox 360 and PC, with Mr Lombardi admitting there is a "50-50" chance that the game may be available on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) at some stage in the future.
The game is set to revolve around four human survivors of a pandemic which has turned infected people into aggressive zombie-like creatures.
Players have to help guide the survivors to safety by sharing the skills of the four people and making them work together.
A deal was recently struck between Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Sony Online Entertainment to bring multiplayer online games including DC Universe, The Agency and FreeRealms to PS3 gamers.
