A laptop bag manufacturer has scooped a top business award in the capital.
Knomo, which designs and produces luxury leather laptop bags, was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in the 2008 London Passport to Export Awards earlier this week.
Claiming to make "bags that people actually like rather than ones they have to tolerate", the company boasts clients in around 20 countries.
Howard Harrison, Knomo co-director, said the company was "delighted" to earn the accolade.
The award scheme aims to recognise the achievements of small-to-medium-sized businesses in trading overseas under UK Trade & Investment’s Passport to Export programme of support for inexperienced exporters.
Lucy Hedges, writing for review website Shiny Shiny recently claimed that Knomo’s Bloomsbury range of laptop bags is "not only cute but highly practical".
"Chanel-esque quilting" on the bags protects laptops from damage while a tracker tag helps the user locate their device if it is misplaced, she said.
