Best mineral make-ups

The Cover FX Mineral FX Foundation has been described as the best mineral make-up by a duo of leading fashion writers.

Joanna McGarry and Francesca White from the Times have named the product, on sale in Harvey Nicholls, as the number one in the growing market of mineral make-up.

It beat the Inaka Lip Liner in Bordeaux to the top spot, which was closely followed by the Jane Iredale Cream to Powder Eyeliner.

The fashion experts also found time to praise BareMinerals SPF15 Foundation in Golden Dark and the Colorflo mineral foundation by Susan Posnick.

Ms Posnick, who runs her own range of mineral make-up, told the newspaper the products contain no "fillers or powders".

"Pure mineral make-up allows the skin to breathe, so it is the healthiest, most natural make-up you can apply," she added.

Bella Sugar magazine recently advised women eager to copy Madonna’s make-up to use products including M Beige 800 eye shadow and the Rouge Unlimited BG949 lipstick.
