Software giant Sega has revealed it is to publish the official title for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
The company has agreed a deal with the exclusive licensee of the International Olympic Committee to create the only approved game based on the upcoming sporting event.
Sega is set to publish titles based on a number of winter sports bearing the official emblem for the Games for consoles, PC and mobile devices.
Okitane Usui, chief operating officer of Sega, said the company was "extremely excited" to agree the deal.
"The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games offers gamers a collection of exciting sports to master, as well as a stunning location for players to take advantage of," he added.
Sega recently also revealed that it is planning to release a title to tie-in with the release of Iron Man 2.
Under the terms of an agreement with Marvel, both the game and film are expected to be released next year.
