A duo of designers has revealed some early details regarding their fashion range for spring/summer 2009.
Katie Walsh and Fiamma Poltock, aka Poltock & Walsh, have allowed Vogue to preview some items from the forthcoming collection.
It is reported that the items, which are inspired by both the French Riviera and 1930s Art Deco, will be complimented with an additional range of accessories including beach bags and clutch bags due at a later date.
The duo, who worked with artist Kate Atkin on the designs, told the magazine they wanted to achieve a "full look".
"We’re always drawn to Art Deco, the Twenties last season, and wanted to develop it to early Thirties Art Deco with the shape and angle. This led to the Art Deco prints - prints are a new thing for us," they added.
"The prints are a bit tongue-in-cheek. Kate drew our three dogs - they look brilliant."
Samantha Critchell from Associated Press has reported that the corset is back in fashion, with a number of designers featuring the items on the catwalk during their shows at New York Fashion Week.
