A game based on the upcoming sequel to blockbusting film Iron Man will be launched next year, it has been confirmed.
Sega has agreed a deal with Marvel which will see a multi-platform title released to coincide with the box office launch of Iron Man 2.
The software publishing company has revealed that the game, which is set to feature a refined game engine, is already under production at its studios in San Francisco.
Simon Jeffery, president of Sega, said: "We are thrilled to build on the success of the Iron Man phenomenon and work with Marvel and Paramount on another epic project."
He added that his company would collaborate "closely" with the companies to deliver "an authentic Iron Man experience".
Sega recently confirmed that it is set to publish the official video game for the 2010 Olympic Games.
It is set to create titles based on the major sporting event for consoles, PC and mobile devices.
