Top Spin 3 prepared for launch

A new tennis game for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is being prepared for launch, according to the title’s publisher.

2K Sports has stated that Top Spin 3, which will also be available for the Nintendo DS, is to be launched in the US on June 24th.

The game gives players the chance to step into the shoes of some of tennis’s biggest players, including Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova, and take part in the sport’s biggest tournaments.

Gamers will also have the opportunity to take on friends and other players around the world online.

Some versions of the game also feature famous names from the sport’s part, including Boris Becker and Bjorn Borg.

Details about the game’s UK release have not yet been released.

Earlier this week, it was announced that a limited edition bundle is to be launched to coincide with the release of Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS.

The package will include the Guitar Grip accessory needed to play the game and a special version of the portable handheld console.
