Philips‘ new portable DVD player comes equipped with an iPod dock, according to one technology news website.
Trusted Reviews reports it was a "great idea" that the firm incorporated the dock on its new DCP951 as it enables people to view video clips and movies on the go as well as an extensive music collection and selection of audio books.
According to the review, children need never be bored again while travelling.
The site notes the device’s appearance is different to the average portable DVD player as it takes on a tablet form and the nine-inch screen fills the majority of one side and the DVD door the back.
It adds the device comes with a soft carry pouch to protect the screen from knocks and scratches.
"Rather than the usual popper-buttons, it has individual rubber ones that, although a little mushy in operation, are tactile and easy to use. Best of all, though, if you’re not using the iPod dock, you can store the remote inside the player," reviewer Edward Chester wrote.
Philips was founded in Eindhoven in 1891.
