Panasonic’s latest addition to its TZ- family of digital cameras, the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ50, enables users to share their photos without a computer.
The camera comes complete with Wi-Fi technology, standard 802.11 b/g wireless LAN connectivity and access to T-Mobile’s HotSpot service, Panasonic said.
TZ50 users can users can upload their digital photos directly to Picasa Web Albums, a free online photo-sharing service from Google.
The 9.1 megapixel TZ50 is also packed with a 28mm wide-angle lens, 10x optical zoom and the ability to record HD video.
"This advanced digital camera makes it possible for users to share their photos with friends and family with unprecedented ease and without a computer," said Alex Fried, national marketing manager for imaging at Panasonic.
Active users will particularly appreciate the TZ50’s Wi-Fi capabilities as they can share photos while on-the-go, he added.
While users can connect to wireless networks at home, the T-mobile HotSport Services is included at a multitude of public locations.
