505 Games has announced it is partnering with Discovery Communications to launch a new range of titles exclusively for the Nintendo DS.
The Discovery Kids series are designed to give youngsters an insight into looking after a number of different animals, with titles including Dolphin Discovery, Pony Paradise and Kitten Corner.
Each of the games allows players to nurture the animals from a young age and help them develop.
Adam Kline, president of 505 Games, said the company’s goal is to "bring high quality videogames to market that represent the passions and lifestyles of today’s families".
He added: "Owning a pet is every kid’s dream and we are pleased to give them a taste of that joy through this innovative new line of pet simulation games."
Activision recently announced it is launching a new range of games for the Nintendo Wii.
The Fun4All series has been created to offer families titles that they can all enjoy.
