New Guitar Hero bundle to launch in the US

A new bundle is being launched in the US to coincide with the launch of a new game in the Guitar Hero series.

The limited edition pack for Guitar Hero: On Tour will include a copy of the title and the Guitar Grip accessory needed to play it on the Nintendo DS.

It will also feature a version of the handheld games console featuring the title’s logo.

The bundle will be launched on the other side of the Atlantic on June 22nd, while no details have been announced as to whether it will also be released in the UK.

Cammie Dunaway, the executive vice-president of sales and marketing for Nintendo’s US division, said: "This one-of-a-kind bundle makes Nintendo DS even more appealing to our ever-growing audience of players.

"Like Nintendo DS itself, the Guitar Hero franchise has attracted millions of new players to the world of video games."

Earlier this month, it was reported on a number of online sources that Activision is planning to release a special edition of Guitar Hero dedicated to rock band Metallica.
