Guinness World Records game for Nintendo Wii and DS

A Guinness World Records games is to be released for the Nintendo Wii and DS games consoles.

Produced by Warners Bros and TT Games, Guinness World Records: The Videogame will give users the chance to become record breakers through a series of challenges ranging from walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon to eating a jumbo jet.

The game, which is due to be released this autumn, can be played individually, in teams or in competitive groups.

"Guinness World Record lends itself wonderfully to an interactive experience for the whole family," said Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games Publishing.

"We’re excited at this opportunity to team up with such a well-loved institution to create a really fresh and fun game," he added.

Meanwhile, Majesco Entertainment Company announced yesterday that baking video game Cake Mania 2, for use on the Nintendo DS, has been shipped to retailers.

A sequel to Sandlot Games’ award-winning online PC and Nintendo DS title Cake Mania, demos of the new game will be available at around 10,000 Nintendo DS download stations this summer.
