Britney to launch new perfume

Britney Spears is set to launch a new perfume to coincide with her new album’s release.

The songstress, who has had three five scents on the shelves previously will call her latest offering Hidden Fantasy.

It will be released on December 2nd, following in the footsteps of Curious, Fantasy, Midnight Fantasy, In Control, Curious Heart and Believe.

Elizabeth Arden, which has worked with Britney on the fragrance, said that its primary scent will be cherry and vanilla, adding: "The bottle of Hidden Fantasy is the same as the previous two Fantasy perfumes - the only difference is the colour red on it."

Bang Media International reports that Britney’s perfumes have netted her £13 million in the UK alone, noting that her turbulent and well-publicised personal life has contributed to their popularity.

Meanwhile, celebrity socialite Paris Hilton recently announced the launch of her fifth scent Fairy Dust.

Adverts for the forthcoming perfume will feature the hotel heiress in a Tinkerbell-style costume.
