A new compilation featuring a number of retro arcade-style games is to be launched in the autumn.
SNK Playmore and Ignition Entertainment have announced that SNK Arcade Classics Volume One will be released for the PlayStation 2 and the PSP later this year, with a Nintendo Wii version following soon afterwards.
Games including Fatal Fury, Magician Lord and Sengoku are to be included on the release, along with the likes of Baseball Stars 2, King of the Monsters and Neo Turf Masters.
Football game Super Sidekicks, fighting title World Heroes and side-scroller Metal Slug are also featured.
Peter Rollinson, product manager of Ignition Entertainment, said: "In the arcade, the addictive quality of these games ensured that the money in your pocket didn’t last long.
"Now the only difficulty is deciding which game to play first".
SouthPeak Games yesterday announced that it is developing a new puzzle game for the Nintendo DS.
Brave: Shaman’s Challenge follows the adventures of a young boy as he attempts to master magic spells and protect everything he loves.
