The success of the Speedo brand during the Beijing 2008 Olympics is set to make the brand as popular as ever, according to one fashion writer.
Mejo S John from Ed Hardy Swimwear claims that not only will its phenomenally successful LZR Racer suit be popular upon public release but the company also plans to launch a fresh range of both swim and beach wear.
The LZR Racer has been worn by swimmers responsible for 40 world records since it was introduced earlier this year and its success has been attributed to its ability to reduce drag.
Andy Long, co-president of Speedo International, has said that the company will "take advantage" of the Olympic coverage, moving into "fresh beach and vacation wear markets".
It has been claimed that the LZR Racer has generated huge pre-sales during the build-up to its availability to the public next month.
