Samsung has released a new robotic vacuum cleaner which uses cameras to produce a map of the areas it has already cleaned.
The Samsung vacuum robot, which was released in Korea last month, has 15 sensors to avoid obstacles.
Described as "a giant dust mite magnified a million times over, but prettier" in a review on CNet, the device is also able to find its charging station when running low on power and after recharging will continue to cleaning where it finished.
Meanwhile, Electrolux is to launch a series of affordable vacuum cleaners later this month.
The bright orange ZSH730, comprising of a 2,000W motor, hard floor nozzle and 1.7 litre capacity dust container, will be on sale for £79.99 reports Tech Digest.
Slightly cheaper, the blue ZSH720 is priced at £69.99.
The model has a less powerful 1,900W motor while the magenta ZSH710 is priced lower still at £59.99.
