Despite the publicity surrounding the launch of the movie, the video game version of Pixar’s WALL-E has been beaten in this week’s UK all-formats top 40 by Lego Indiana Jones.
Eurogamer.net reports that the Lego title, which is available for the XBox 360 PlayStation 2 and 3, PSP, Wii and DS, also outsold Wii Fit and Wii Play.
However, the news provider noted that the chart, compiled by Chart Track, was dominated by Nintendo games, Mario Kart Wii, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and Super Smash Bros. Brawl all included in the top ten.
Meanwhile, Sport Party for the Wii made the most progress this week, climbing up from 29th on the list to 13th.
Meanwhile, game enthusiasts may be interested to know that SNK Playmore and Ignition Entertainment are set to bring the latest instalment of the Metal Slug series to the Nintendo DS.
The seventh outing for the franchise will be available on the console this Autumn, videogamer.com reports.
