One of the world’s leading video game publishers has unveiled a list of its bestselling titles.
Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter II remains its biggest selling game of all time, ahead of several Resident Evil titles, Dino Crisis and Devil May Cry.
In terms of franchises, the combined sales of games in the Resident Evil series stand at 34.5 million, while 28 million units of games in the Mega Man series have been sold.
Other popular franchises include Disney-based releases, as well as Onimusha, Monster Hunter and Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins games.
The release of Capcom’s figures comes after gaming website Kotaku recently claimed that the company is predicting that worldwide sales of a forthcoming Resident Evil sequel will reach over two million.
Reports online have stated that Resident Evil 5 could be released next March.
Kotaku also claimed that Capcom hopes Bionic Commando will shift around 1.5 million copies when released across the globe.
