Dyson DC24 on show

Dyson is currently showcasing its latest vacuum cleaner at the Grand Designs Live London event.

The new DC24Dyson Ball, priced at £299, will be on display at the show, which is based on the popular Channel 4 series.

According to the Mirror, the new model differs from conventional vacuum cleaners which are only able to move in straight lines.

The DC24 includes a central ball, enabling it to swivel "with the turn of the wrist" to avoid furniture.

"Dyson have thought of everything with this innovative new design", the newspaper said.

Meanwhile, Dyson’s DC01 vacuum cleaner was recently voted the best designed product available in the UK, in a poll carried out at Plastics Design and Moulding, a trade event for product designers.

Dexigner.com reports that the Dyson DC01 vacuum cleaner cleaned up when design experts were asked to identify the product that best exemplified design innovation.

More than 27 per cent thought that the Dyson product best fitted that description, the survey found.
