Swedish pop legends Abba have made chart history with their greatest hits CD Gold.
The compilation, originally released in 1992, has become the oldest album ever to make the number one spot in the UK charts.
Since its release it has now reached the top five times and sold more than 26 million copies.
It knocked Coldplay’s Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends down to number two on Sunday.
The recent success of the album follows the release of movie Mamma Mia!, which features Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep singing Abba numbers.
In other chart news, Kid Rock’s Rock N Roll Jesus moved to number four, from 145, while albums from Nickelback, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse and Billy Joel all retained their positions.
Two singles made large jumps in to the top ten – The Man Who Can’t Be Moved by Script and I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry.
