Nokia’s 6600 slide is set to offer users a range of "classy set of mid-range" features when it is launched.
According to a preview on Stuff.tv, the handset features a "more advanced" camera when compared to the fold version, while it also has a "show-off feature" of an accelerometer.
The system allows users to tap on the phone’s screen if they want to answer calls or read message alerts quickly.
Stuff.tv was also impressed that the handset featured Nokia Maps, which means whose who buy a Bluetooth GPS module can use it as "a proper sat-nav".
The website added that while the ‘Beautiful to Use’ catchphrase used to promote the handset sounded like a "backhanded compliment", the phone "is much more than a mobile bimbo".
Nokia recently announced that it is adding releases from developer Konami to its N-Gage mobile gaming platform.
The first game released under the deal will be a mobile version of popular title Metal Gear Solid.
