A leading electronics manufacturer has announced plans to unveil its new flagship mobile phone at a major industry event this month.
LG’s new Arena device, which will also be known as the KM900, will be put on show by the company at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona.
The firm has claimed that the handset includes "audio and video technologies never before seen on a mobile phone", such as 3D graphics designed to improve its user interface.
It also boasts Wi-Fi, HSDPA and GPS capabilities, as well as an integrated music and video player.
Dr Skott Ahn, president and chief executive officer of LG, said the interface on the phone is "unlike anything that has appeared on a mobile phone before".
He added: "With rich 3D graphics, touch sensitivity and exciting multimedia capabilities, it will truly make Arena a fully loaded multimedia phone."
Samsung also recently unveiled a new flagship mobile phone, the Tocco Ultra Edition.
As well as featuring a touchscreen interface, the device includes an eight-megapixel camera and GPS navigations capabilities.
