Myspace might be viewed by some as a playground for internet-obsessed teens, but one prestigious jeweller is using it for a new advertising campaign.
Luxury brand Cartier has set up its own page on the social networking website in order to complement its other advertising efforts, reports the Guardian.
"Visitors to the page - Myspace.com/lovebycartier - can view romantic videos, download exclusive songs or leave messages," the news provider states.
The brand already counts high-profile figures from the world of music among its friends, including Sting and Lou Reed, the latter of whom has a long-standing association with Cartier, the newspaper adds.
Making the move into internet advertising is something of a rarity among luxury brands, according to the Guardian.
Those looking for something a little bit different from their accessories might want to consider eye jewellery.
According to Shiny Shiny, the adornments which hang from contact lenses are set to be the next big thing.
