One of the UK’s leading national newspapers has recommended a number of different types of furniture for people looking to give their garden a makeover.
The Independent’s Kate Watson-Smyth has suggested a number of different pieces, including a new weatherproof rocking armchair from Italian company Bonaldo and a new range of Dutch baroque items.
A new Villa gazebo from designer Marcel Wanders has been praised by the writer for putting similar items on the high street "in the shade", while a new Donuts furniture set was also name-checked.
Discussing the latter, Ms Watson Smyth explained in the newspaper: "There really is no excuse for that fold-up canvas chair and plastic table any more. This consists of an inflatable hollow doughnut that you sit on/in and the table slots on top.
"It’s weatherproof and the chair part will be fun to lounge about in when you don’t need the table."
The Independent also recently highlighted a number of firms that make eco-friendly furniture in a new article.
Designers including Cohda Design, which makes items from recycled plastic, were mentioned in a feature by the newspaper.
