Eco-friendly furniture created by a US company is set to be launched in the UK in the near future.
Poly-Wood’s range of furniture, which is made from recycled plastic, is to be imported by distributor DMMP in order to see if there is a market for the products.
GleeBirmingham.com reports that the company is planning to bring 15 ranges of items over from the US, including benches, tables, loungers and chairs in a variety of bright colours.
DMMP managing director Marcus Palmer said that the eco-friendly products struck his firm as "the next move" in the garden furniture industry.
"We are bringing the product into the UK market where the garden furniture market is very traditional. There are lots of wood products and plastic products that are produced out in the Far East but these can fade very easily," he added.
The launch of the ranges in the UK follows the announcement that gamers can buy an expansion pack for The Sims 2 which features furniture designed by Ikea.
