Several major radio personalities in the UK have recorded voice instructions for use on GPS devices from TomTom.
BBC Radio 2’s breakfast presenter Sir Terry Wogan is the biggest name from the station to create an audio download for the company, with money from the sales of the package going to Children in Need.
Alan Dedicoat, who is also the ‘voice of the balls’ on BBC TV’s National Lottery show, Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman and Lynn Bowles have also recorded instructions.
Each of the downloads can be bought through the Charity Goods website, while they can also be purchased on CD.
At the end of last month, TomTom announced that Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall had also recorded similar voice instructions in the style of her character from the series, Samantha Jones.
The actress, who has also starred in films including Mannequin, said that lending her voice to the company’s systems was "a unique way" for her to connect with fans.
