Fans of US TV show Sex and the City will soon have the chance to get road directions from one of the series’ best loved characters.
TomTom has announced that Kim Cattrall has become the latest celebrity to lend her voice to directions for the company’s range of GPS devices.
According to the firm, the voice is available for download and features phrases which evoke the actress’s well-known character from the series and subsequent film, Samantha Jones.
Discussing her work with the company, the star said: "Putting my voice on GPS systems is such a unique way for me to reach out and connect with my fans.
"I am thrilled to be able to entertain my fans by giving them turn-by-turn directions to make their trips more fun and exciting."
At the end of last month, TomTom announced plans to work with Renault on an integrated navigational system designed for the company’s range of vehicles.
It is believed that products created through the partnership could be available sometime next year.
