A new review has claimed that TomTom’s Go 730 GPS device is "more than just a sat-nav".
Tom Greene of PC Advisor has claimed the system is a "great gadget for your car", particularly thanks to IQ Routes feature, which allows people to add information to a database about potential traffic delays.
Writing on the website, he explained how the device proved itself in testing when it suggested a route away from a nearby construction site.
"This particular site causes delays that are so minor that we don’t mind waiting through them," he wrote.
"Other drivers using IQ Routes have apparently told the TomTom database about the roadwork, and the TomTom Go 730 seemed bent on sparing me the backup and delay."
TeleNav recently launched a new GPS device which features a two-way internet connection.
Called the Shotgun, it is designed to keep motorists fully updated with the state of play on roads by sending information through the web connection.
