Sneak peak at Kuro LCD TV

Sneak peak at Kuro LCD TVThe new Kuro LCD TVs from Pioneer are shaping up well, according to one expert.

Writing for Cnet, Ian Morris explains that he was impressed by the sets when the firm gave him the chance of a sneak peak at their forthcoming release.

He said: "The sharpness of the picture on these pre-production models was clearly evident, and the black levels were impressive, too - something we were thrilled to see."

Mr Morris was able to view a range of content on the prototype screens, including HD TV via Sky and Blu-ray material.

He points out that the firm is hoping to target the TVs at people who are not interested in buying one of its 60-inch plasma devices because they need something smaller.

Yesterday, review site Pocket Lint praised the LG Scarlet LCD TV for its good looks and "decent picture performance".

The website stated that the "style and usability" are the set’s most attractive features.
