A leading electronics manufacturer has unveiled a new version of one of its high-definition LCD TVs.
Sharp’s new Aquos LC-19D1E system is set to be available in red from March, with the model expected to be aimed specifically at consumers looking for a bedroom or secondary set.
The 19-inch television also features a slim design and a 176-degree viewing angle, as well as PC and HDMI inputs.
In addition, it has an in-built digital tuner and a resolution of 1,366 x 768.
Sharp has also confirmed that the new model will be available for around £250 when it is launched.
Details about the system have come after Panasonic announced plans to launch a collection of environmentally-friendly plasma TVs.
The company’s new range is set to use around half of the electricity of traditional models, while they will also be thinner than usual devices.
A 50-inch model in the series is expected to be available in Japan from around 600,000 yen (£4,715) in April.
