SanDisk’s Sansa Fuze mp3 player deserves careful consideration among those considering the third-generation iPod Nano, according to one publication.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the "cheeky look-alike" follows in the footsteps of the Sansa View and has the same menu options and iPod-inspired navigation wheel.
Reviewer Mike Wilcox wrote that the mp3 player is available in two, four and 8GB models and offers the option to expand storage with a choice of MicroSD cards.
"Along with its music, picture and video playback duties, the Fuze also packs in an FM radio and microphone. Radio broadcasts can be easily recorded and saved, but there’s no way to rename files until transferring them to a computer," he added.
The report notes that standard audio formats are supported by the device and songs can be transferred with ease by using Windows Media Player or a drag and drop method via USB cable.
SanDisk was founded in 1988.
