Samsung’s Series 6 LCD TV "oozes sophistication", according to an electronics website.
In a joint review comparing the system to the LG Scarlet 60, Smarthouse.com.au said that the Samsung model was the best of the pair, describing it as "more evolutionary than revolutionary".
While the LG machine was praised for its "great sound and good front end looks", the site said that its bright red back panel could lead consumers to get fed up of the system.
Concluding, Smarthouse said: "The look and feel of their Series 6 TV oozes sophistication and the colour and design is not brutally intrusive like the LG Scarlet offering.
The results of the group test have been published after TechRadar.com recently described Hitachi’s new UT32MH40U LCD TV as "awe-inspiring".
In a five-star review, the website said that the machine out-performs its "fuller-bodied rivals for a price that, under the circumstances, seems entirely reasonable".
The design of the system is also described in the article as "gorgeous".
