PC Magazine reports that new products enable people to take advantage of technology while still being a friend to Mother earth.

Commentator Gary Berline claims he takes into account environmental friendliness when reviewing for the website.

Mr Berline wrote that Apple’s MacBook 13-inch notebook comes close to a tree as its internal cables and circuit-board laminating chemicals are almost PVC and brominated flame retardant free.

He adds that the company’s 2-GHz Core 2 Duo Apple Mac mini is an energy-saving product for those with clean green consciences.

"The Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 is easy on the watts - and, as a bonus, your back. Power-saving technology lets its battery last 5-plus hours without adding heft - the system weighs less than 3 pounds," Mr Berline adds.

Meanwhile, ITnews Australia has compiled a list of the top ten features found in notebook computers.
