The new Kuro PDP-LX6090 from Pioneer has been described in a new review as "the premier big-screen TV money can currently buy".
According to John Archer of TrustedReviews, while other rivals may be catching up to Pioneer’s Kuro series in terms of black levels, the new 60-inch system is still a must-have for those who "just have to have the best no matter what it costs".
Writing on the website, he explained that the model’s picture quality is "bright and colour-rich", while its colours were "superbly expressive".
"They enjoy a truly expansive tonal range and benefit again from Pioneer’s image processing in the way that subtle colour blends and shifts are portrayed with terrific accuracy," Mr Archer explained.
"Skin tones in particular benefit from all the subtlety on offer, looking free of the striping or plastickiness still common on flat TVs."
In a recent review by Stuff.tv, the Kuro PDP-LX5090 was praised for its "excellent" black levels, as well as its "rich and vibrant colours".
