Panasonic’s new TX-32LZD80 LCD TV creates "immaculate pictures", according to a new review.
TechRadar.com stated that the quality of its images, including its upscaling of Freeview pictures, was one of the areas in which the 32-inch model "out ranks the opposition".
While the quality of blacks and contrast on the television was criticised, the website was warm in praise of its connectivity options.
"Three HDMI inputs are an instant hit while Panasonic’s inclusion of an SD card slot, which allows viewing of Jpeg photos direct from a digital camera, indicates the flagship nature of this set," the site explained.
"Bundled in beside are all the usual connections, such as component video and a PC input – the latter able to transfer 1:1 pixel mapping to make use of the TX-32LZD80’s hi-res screen as a PC monitor."
Earlier this week, rival LCD TV manufacturer Sony added several new systems to its Bravia range.
The X4500 and W4500 have been described by the company as ideal for "serious viewers who demand the ultimate entertainment experience".
