A new 8.1-megapixel digital camera has been unveiled by a leading electronics manufacturer.
Panasonic’s new Lumix DMC-LS85 is powered by AA batteries and includes 4x optical zoom, as well as the company’s F2.8 quality DC Vario lens.
It also boasts a 2.5-inch LCD display, while it can also record video in both VGA and WVGA formats at a rate of 30 frames per second.
David Briganti, national marketing manager of imaging for Panasonic, said the device was "ideal for a consumer at any level".
He added that the new camera model "further reinforces Panasonic’s goal to make digital photography a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for consumers at all levels".
Polaroid recently launched that it has described as the first instant digital camera available in both the US and Europe.
The company’s new PoGo model allows users to print full-colour photos of images stored on the device within less than a minute.
