The pictures produced on Panasonic’s new TH-50PZ81 plasma TV boast "rock-solid stability", according to a review.
Stuff.tv has claimed that the images on the system demonstrate why many electronics firms tend to use plasma technology on large models, as they were found to be almost noise-free and "beautifully consistent" in terms of motion.
While the set’s audio did not perform as expected, the company’s claims that the system has a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 were found to not be "too excessive a boast".
"Blacks are dense and consistently impressive even with fairly mundane TV content, while switching to 1080i (via Freesat) or 1080p (from Blu-ray) is just plain delightful," the website claimed.
"For a 50-inch panel, the Panasonic manages to generate a picture of remarkably consistent edge-to-edge brightness and punch."
Panasonic’s 2009 Viera HDTV G10-series was recently praised by judges at website CNet as the best TV exhibited at the recent Consumer Electronics Show.
