The Slacker G2 personal radio player gives users a way to enjoy online radio services without a constant internet connection, according to one technology news website.
Macworld reports that the device can be loaded with songs from Slacker radio stations and then listened to wherever and whenever without being online.
Users will need to sign up for a free Slacker radio account which will provide access to 16 radio stations sorted by genre, which include Alternative, Country, Hip-Hop and R&B, Jazz and Rock.
The free account limits users to six song skips per hour and the number of songs that can be requested but a premium service is available and is priced between $7.50 (£4.50) and $10, the website notes.
It adds the device measures 3.4 by 2.1 by 0.5-inches and weighs 2.6 ounces and the player has a 320 by 240-pixel, 2.4-inch colour LCD screen.
Meanwhile, TechWorld reports that the Slacker G2 is a great option for those that want to take music with them but do not want to buy mp3s.
