iRiver’s new Lplayer is a "cute, easy to use" mp3 that "sounds good", according to one reviewer.
Cnet’s Nate Lanxon claims the device comes with the iRiver’s "incredibly intuitive" D-Click interface design instead of navigational buttons, requiring the user to press the screen up, down, left and right to navigate through menus.
The music player also boasts a "super-crisp 320 by 240 pixel screen" which makes videos and menus "look brilliant" while "even small text is sharp and clear", he adds.
Formats including mp3, AMA, OGG, FLAC and ASF are supported by the device in addition to photos and videos while iRiver’s Plus 3 media management PC software is bundled with the music player.
The Lplayer is available in two versions, one with 4GB and the other 8GB of storage. They are priced £69 and £99 respectively.
Meanwhile, Creative has unveiled another new mp3 player, the Zen Krystal.
Designed for sporting enthusiasts, the device comes with a stop watch, calorie counter and a pedometer capable of tracking both speed and distance.
