Consumers looking to cut down on their energy bills can save money by investing in some green gadgets, according to one expert.
Writing for the the Daily Telegraph, Claudine Beaumont explains people can use less power by considering a device such as Bye Bye Standby.
The gadget allows people to plug their DVD player, LCD TV and other entertainment systems into it and then turn them all off at the flick of one switch, she states.
People who are looking for a music player which is environmentally friendly might want to consider a hand-powered device.
"We love the Trevor Bayliss-designed wind-up mp3 player, which doubles as a video player, sound recorder, photo viewer, FM radio, torch, mobile phone charger, ebook viewer and removable hard drive," she says.
Alternatively people might want to look at USB rechargeable batteries, which gather their power while plugged into a PC, Ms Beaumont states.
