Lego-style MP3 player launchedAnyone who wants to combine the latest technology with a spot of nostalgia might want to take a look at this new MP3 player.

The device, manufacture by Homade is a fully functional MP3 player in the shape of a Lego brick.

Measuring just 28 x 56 x 17 millimetres, the MP3 player supports microSD cards up to 2GB in size.

The little knobs on the Lego-style brick work as buttons to operate the player’s various functions.

Anyone who wants to combine their love of music with their taste for Lego can purchase one of the devices for $45 (£22). The microSD card is not included.

The Homade MP3 player is not an official Lego product.

Meanwhile, chemists at Glasgow University have revealed that the have developed a new system which means that the capacity of iPods and other MP3 players might increase by 100,000 times in future.

This raises the prospect of MP3 players that can store up to 500,000GB of information.
