FineDigital unveils GPS with speech recognitionFineDigital’s latest satellite navigation device includes speech recognition capabilities, the company has revealed.

The FineDrive Bio features ETRI’s Fine Speech Recogniser technology enabling it to store up to 450,000 words in its dictionary and allowing users to speak - rather than tap in - their destination, Tech Digest reports.

A seven-inch touch LCD screen with 800 x 480 resolution, two SD card slots and a USB port also feature on the device, which runs on a 900MHz Dual Core CPU.

Due to launch in Korea on July 7th, a 2GB version of the FineDrive Bio costs the equivalent of £242 while a 4 GB model is priced at £266.

In related news, Consumer Reports recently rated the Garmin Nuvi 760 the best GPS system after conducting in-lab and on-the-road tests for 39 devices.

The review publication also commended the Garmin Nuvi 660, TomTom Go 920T, Garmin Nuvi 350 and Magellan Maesro 4250.
