A leading manufacturer of GPS devices has launched a new range of systems designed for lovers of the great outdoors.
Garmin’s Oregon line of sat-navs is waterproof and includes features to ensure satellite reception is as clear as possible in all areas.
Each device in the range includes programs designed specifically for certain types of people, including anglers and those who enjoy hiking.
The models also feature three-inch displays and allows people to exchange map data and other information wirelessly to other systems.
Dan Bartel, vice-president of worldwide sales for Garmin, said: "The Oregon’s vibrant screen is responsive to the touch of your finger, yet resistant to the forces of nature.
"Combining the touchscreen interface of our iconic automotive devices with the preloaded features of the acclaimed Colorado series makes this the ultimate outdoor handheld."
Garmin recently also launched the Nuvi 860, which features a 4.3-inch screen and comes with a wireless remote control designed to connect to a driver’s steering wheel.
