Vidikron has released two new flat panel televisions aimed at the high-end of the market.
Both the VL-52 and VL-57 feature 1920 x 1080 high-definition native resolution, two HDMI inputs and a PC monitor input, reports about.com.
The new models are slim with a cabinet depth of four and three-quarter inches (9.5 cm) and have two internal audio amplifiers with external speaker connections.
The VL-52 also contains an onboard NTSC/ATSC tuner, while the monitor-only VL-57 requires an external tuner - such as a cable box or satellite box - to receive television signals.
Both models can display PAL images from external sources as well, the website said.
Meanwhile, Philips’ 32PFL9632D has been named by a consumer advice website as the best 32-inch high definition TV in the UK market.
TechRadar.com’s John Archer has stated that while the model is not the most expensive in its top ten list of the televisions, its Perfect Pixel Engine processing helps to make it "comfortably the best".
