The Archos 605 combines a TV and computer into one package, according to one technology news website.
Audio News reports the Wi-Fi portable media player bridges the gap between televisions, computers, digital entertainment and portability.
The review notes the device has 160GB of capacity and allows users to "easily" download movies, music or TV shows without using a Mac or a PC.
It adds the player features a full colour 4.3-inch touchscreen with a "high-quality" 800 x 480 picture resolution.
According to the the website, the music player offers a robust playback feature - supporting WAV, WMA, MP3, CBR and VBR files.
The site adds: "This portable media player supports an advanced and high-end Li-Poly battery which provides approximately seventeen hours of continuous music playback and 5.5 hours of continuous video playback."
Archos claims to be an innovator in bringing pocket entertainment products to market.
The firm launched its first product, a memory card for the Commodore Amiga in 1992.
