Fujifilm’s FinePix S1000fd is "a lot of camera" according to a review.
Gavin Stokes, from Macworld.co.uk, found that the overall quality of the digital camera was "impressive".
The fd in the device’s name stands for the new face-detection technology which is integrated in the camera, which the reviewer described as a "relatively strong feature".
The FinePix S1000fd has a ten-megapixel resolution and 12x optical zoom, complete with a 2.7-inch LCD screen to choose picture options.
Users have an option to shoot from either the LCD screen or a dedicated viewfinder which is also built-in to the camera.
Discussing the camera’s ability to shoot Jpegs, the reviewer wrote: "The Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd’s Jpegs are commendably sharp at extreme telephoto with warmer-than-average, well-saturated colours when left on default settings."
Fujifilm recently unveiled its new FinePix F60fd digital camera, which it claimed is the perfect all-in-one for "photographers of all levels".
