A camcorder which could easy be mistaken for a ping-pong ball has been unveiled.
The DVR CamBall is a spherical-shaped, fully functioning digital camcorder which has been designed by experts in Korea, crave at CNet.com reports.
Smaller than a ping-pong ball, the device can capture either 320 x 240 or 640 x 480-pixel video clips.
The CamBall also features an SD slot, to allow the camcorder’s memory to be expanded, and also a USB slot by which the device’s battery is recharged.
According to the website: "From the pictures, it seems there is a four-way directional pad with LED indicators around it to display what mode the camcorder is in".
It concludes that all the CamBall lacks compared to a conventional digital camcorder is an "LCD screen for framing or playback".
The unveiling of the CamBall follows the launch of the Small Wonder EZ200 in Japan.
It is described as "a low cost option for digital video capture" and is currently available for under US$90 (£45), Gizmag.com reported.
