Canon’s Ixus 85 IS digital camera is perfect for people who need to carry a camera "ready for instant action", according to a review.
Technology website Techradar.com said that the device is the type of camera which can be carried in either a pocket or bag and produce photos when needed.
With a 10-megapixel lens and 3x optical zoom the image quality was found to be "generally good" during a series of tests, although those taken using the zoom were criticised for looking "grainy".
The site also praised the "good layout" of the Ixus 85 IS, describing it as "straightforward", which makes the camera "very easy to use".
"The controls are incredibly easy to use as the menus are a model of clarity," it explains.
"In Auto mode you can adjust the picture size and choose from a tiny handful of modes that include Kids & Pets, Portrait and Night Snapshot."
Canon recently celebrated selling its 100 millionth digital camera since its first, the PowerShot 600, was launched in 1996.
