The price of digital cameras is falling quickly and what were once top of the range models can now be snapped up at bargain prices.
Writing for PC Magazine, Corinne Iozzio points out that it is now possible to get a camera that produces great pictures without breaking the bank.
She says: "Fortunately for shoppers, as far as the digital camera market goes, prices rarely stay high for long."
Ms Iozzio suggested that people might want to look at the Fuji FinePix F40fs, Cannon PowerShot SD750, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55 or the Cannon PowerShot SD950 IS if they are in the market for a bargain, she adds.
All these cameras offer a good range of functions and are now available at a reasonable price, Ms Iozzio stated.
Those looking for a digital SLR camera might want to look at the Cannon EOS Digital Rebel X Si.
According to PC World, the device offers "great image quality".
