Toshiba has added four new laptops to its ultraportable Portegeseries, according top one technology news website.
Marketnews reports the firm has released the premium Tecra R10 with Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and the Portege R600.
According to the report, the firm claims the latter device will be the world’s thinnest and lightest laptop and it will hit the market at a price of between $3,299 (£1,650) and $1,499.
The notebook will weigh 2.14 pounds, will feature the Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low voltage processor and a battery life of up to nine hours.
John Thomson wrote: "The premium Tecra R10 laptop is Toshiba’s fastest in the lineup and is targeted primarily to the business user. Standard features of the R10 include a DVD Super-Multi Double Layer drive, Bluetooth and wireless capabilities."
He adds the device will come with 200 GB of hard disk drive as standard.
Toshiba was founded in 1939.
